Indiana at Illinois Game Time Set: Saturday March 5th 11am
According to a press release from the University of Illinois DIA, the final Illinois home game of the season, against the Indiana Hoosiers, has been set for Saturday March 5th, at 11am central, and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
It will be the last time (probably) that we will get to see the senior class of Demetri McCamey, Mike Tisdale, Bill Cole and Mike Davis play in the Assembly Hall. The time slot and network is unsurprising, as while the outcome of the game will have implications for the Illini's post season, it wont have any bearing on the regular season Big Ten Championship.
Incidentally, the game will be played in the morning on the day after the University of Illinois campus drinking event known as "Unofficial" where students skip class spend the whole day celebrating St. Patrick's Day, in lieu of the real holiday. Consequently, if student turnout and enthusiasm seems a bit muted on a Saturday morning, you will know why.
