CHAMPAIGN, Ill. —
Just over two months before the start of football season, one of Illinois' newest assistant coaches has already left the school.Head coach Ron Zook said Thursday that tight ends coach Greg Nord is leaving to take the same job at Kentucky. Nord is a Kentucky graduate.
Illinois hired Nord in December from Louisville. He was among new coaches hired last winter to replace the six assistants who were either fired or left following a a second-straight losing season. The Illini finished 3-9.

Well that didn't take long.
Must’ve been pissed that Fiedorowicz didn’t sign with the Illini or something. There’s gotta be more to this than simply wanting to go home. Aside from Bear Bryant, Kentucky has less football tradition than us.
