Mark Your Calenders for November 30th, Illinois to host North Carolina
The Big Ten ACC Challenge pairings were released today, and there seems to be a notable pairing that is relevant to our interests. On Tuesday, November 30th, Roy Williams and North Carolina will come to Champaign to play the Illini. I am pretty sure I know which game will be the first to sell out.
It will be the first SECOND time FIRST HOME GAME since the 2005 National Championship game that the two teams will have faced one another, but to speak for many. many Illini fans, the bad blood has not really subsided.
The Illini will likely be ranked to start the season and will have the star power of Jereme Richmond and Demetri McCamey to get a lot of attention for Bruce Weber's team. Roy Williams Tar Heels never start the season unranked, and will have Harrison Barnes. This game is going to be marked on every calender starting today, and I would be absolutely surprised if it doesn't get the full Musberger/Andrews treatment by ESPN.
This just shot to the top of the list of games you CANNOT MISS in 2010/11.

Ummmmmm . . .

Not to be a dick or anything, but . . . nope. It IS the first home game against them since then, though.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
To be fair, you weren't at Illinois when they played at UNC though.
Makes for an interesting choice as to which night will be PTHO night. UNC? Purdue? MSU? All will potentially be top-15 match-ups.
Anytime we can take it to the Tarheels is a good day for me.
A link would have been nice
