...and we're back, and none too soon.

Wow, that sure was fun wasn't it? Another semester has come and gone for yours truly, and it was a beast. As you may have noticed, I sort of let things slide here at the sandbox, due to it being difficult for me to justify putting off that seminar one more day so that I can speculate on Mikel Leshoure's ankle. Here is just a quick list of all the things I missed out on covering in my academic deluge.

-Demetri declaring for the draft
-Mike Davis declaring for the draft.
-The entire spring practice
-Mikel being hurt
-Mikel being awesome
-Nathan Scheelhaase being a BAMF
-Mike Davis coming back
-Demetri coming back
-Dee Brown getting into a car accident and possibly getting in an altercation with the arresting officer
-Dee responding today
-The Big Ten possibly inviting every team in the Big East, Big 12 and Notre Dame to form a mighty super conference, and then never doing anything.

Is that it? Well it is a pretty mighty list if I do say so myself, and for that I apologize. It is summer, and that means it is time to start wall to wall speculation and over excitement about the coming football season. Like so many Trojans fooled by the Greeks, we shall welcome with joy and excitement the Illini football season, even though it will surely only bring us pain and sorrow. Hiatus ends now. It is time to get back to work.
