So Jon Asamoah is a Chief...what should KC expect?
Hey guys my name is Tomahawk44 and I come to you from Arrowhead Pride. I would just like to get a perspective from the guys who have watched Asamoah play and see what they think he can do at the pro level? What are his stenghts and weaknesses? Better run or pass blocker? Does he have Pro Bowl potential?
I will be posting a link to this over at Arrowhead Pride so be sure to come over and chat with us!
Thanks for any information and it will be greatly appreciated!

As a Broncos fan, I hope you guys lose every week. Just sayin'.
But in all seriousness . . . while Jon Asamoah was a standout at the U of I, it wasn’t like he was best at any one thing. He was just really good at a lot of things. This is kinda how I see him doing in the professional ranks – good at many things, not flashy at anything.
Coming from a wide-open shotgun option system like the Illini have run in the last few years MIGHT help him in the Charlie Weis system being put in place at KC.
But overall, I think he’ll be fine. He shouldn’t be an All-Pro or anything, but if his talents are up to what they were at Illinois, you won’t be hearing or saying his name much except in film study . . . and that’s about the best complement an NFL offensive lineman can get.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
haha atleast we agree on our baseball team :)
thanks for the info.
How was Jon as a charachter guy. Was he a leader or more soft spoken?
Y'know, in his three years as a starter . . .
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a peep of anything out of him. Based on that . . . gotta be a quiet leader or solid quiet teammate.

Just to let you guys know

Asamoah
Is one of those guys that has a low talent ceiling (by NFL standards) but does everything right. As such, he’ll shouldn’t ever be a weak link. He’s smart and will make other guys look better. I don’t think you can reasonably expect him to be an all-pro during his career, but he should be a starter in a year or two and stay there for quite a while. He’ll do enough to make sure you won’t want to replace him. If a third round pick nets you that kind of quality consistency then you’ve done a great job.
Absolutely no character worries
one of the nicest guys on the team
