That...

Was rough. I’m pissed off, and ready to fight someone/something! I HATE Gophers!! And Florida, really? REALLY??? Wow…

but but but

they won back to back championships a few years back… that has to count for something right? Also you can’t discount Billy Donovan’s hair style. That’s bound to get some higher ratings… Ok I’m grasping at straws to explain that one away.

Minnesota and Florida really stick out.

[Homer shows Bart "Wonderbat".]
Bart: Wow. How many home runs you gonna hit with that thing?
Homer: Let's see... We play thirty games. Ten at-bats a game. Mm...three thousand.

I'm personally more concerned

that a Steve Alford coached team got a 3 seed. I can only assume this bracket is an early April Fool’s joke and the real one will come out in a few hours…

My consolation is I get to have that upset locked and loaded...

Sigh...

It wasn’t really Illinois’ fault. Everyone thought they were in after the Wisconsin win in the BTT, but stuff like Houston happened which kind of bumped us off. And it sounds lame now, but its kind of nice to not have to worry about us playing another big game. After the WKU debacle last year…I’m not sure if I want to see something like that again.

Just gotta look forward to next year. Can’t win them all, (insert your favorite cliche here).

if you are looking for bright sides

i hope it teaches the players who will now be seniors what you can’t take for granted. work on those in bounds plays, on picking up fouls, on defending, because all of those cost us a win this year.

I hope that McCamey, Tisdale and Davis rededicate themselves to making sure that this does not happen their senior year. If they do, we already know how good this team could be.

Let's all go to Utah State and . . . uhh, burn some salt flats down.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say their loss in their conference title game, paired with the Illini’s ineptitude down the stretch, lost us the bid.

Seriously . . . their best player is a dude named Quayle. Argh.

The Throwdown Lowdown, only on The Bluenote Zone . . . I punch you hard.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.

I'm in a glass case of emotions!

I’m vulnerable, dangerous, and I don’t think I can be alone with myself right now!

bright side

Obviously I wish we were in the Big Dance. But to some degree, this could be a blessing in disguise. In all likelihood we would have been a “one and done” team in the NCAA. Instead, we can go to the NIT and have a pretty decent shot to make a deep run in it. Of course, that is IF our guys can get their heads in it. It could be good experience for our returnees.
