Illini at Michigan Openthread!!!

Sorry folks, no clever headline nor theme tonight. Joe's out being scholarly and whatnot, so you're stuck with Mr. Wazowski instead.

Anywho, here's to an Illini win. To DMac dominating again. To Davis finding his stroke. To playing solid defense. And most importantly, to Bill Cole exuding immense amounts of EFFORT. Cheers friends.

Oh, I almost forgot. THIS IS YOUR OPEN THREAD!!!

Way late.

Too caught up in Olympic hockey to pay much attention to the Illini. Everyone’s a bit off these days.

Nice. Who played tonight?

I caught Russia/Czech and US/Canada over the weekend and was probably the best hockey I’ve ever seen

Switzerland beat Belarus in a shootout earlier, they play the US tomorrow afternoon.

Right now, Canada leads 3-0 over Germany in the 2nd period. Winner gets Russia tomorrow.

And the game with the US and Canada, what I caught of it, was beautiful stuff.

Yeah . . . Deutscheland has, like, a handful of NHL'ers.

One of them is a back-up goaltender that’s played all of 10 games this year (Greiss).

Overmatched to the max.

Keep in mind that I've only seen the second half . . .

but has this game been this boring ALL game? Yeesh.

D-MAC TO M-D!

Pretty sweet for a play that should’ve never seen the light of day.

Win big, win ugly.

Doesn’t matter, just win.

Nice to have that one.

I'm confident . . .

that the lot of us in this GDT could shoot better from the field than Michigan did tonight. Yikes.

And I leave you with this . . .

4-1 Canada over Germany after 2 periods of stick-and-puck. Marcel Goc, whose last name (like most Germans) rhymes witch “crotch”, scores a goal for Zee Deutschland. Raise your steins!

Later kids.
