Hummel Out for Season
Robbie Hummel re-tore his ACL in practice on Saturday and is out for the season. Hate to see something like this happen, but it sure does improve the Illini's chances at a Big Ten title. Purdue will still be a very good team (JaJuan Johnson and E'twaun Moore are still studs), but they loose the guy who is arguably the heart and soul of their team.

My heart actually sunk when I heard this news the other day.
Hummel seems to be a good kid, and I’m sure he worked extremely hard to get back on the court this season. I’ve never blown out a knee, much less twice, but from what I’ve heard about it . . . it can’t be good.
This development obviously helps pretty much every team in the Big Ten, at least a little bit. But that’s THIS season. If I’m not mistaken, he has a redshirt available to him, so if he’s able to recover (again), he’ll likely be back in ‘11-’12 to not only kick some ass, but to see if he can rebuild any NBA draft stock he may have left. You don’t see too many legit pass-first solid-shooting point forwards who can actually rebound well laying around just anywhere.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.

He’s fun to watch play, but I’m not going to miss playing against him. I’m a selfish prick like that. But I do hope that he can get well enough to come back. you never want to see something like this.
You're the fail to my win?
