Deron Williams will return to his hometown as an NBA All-Star, according to a report by Y! Sports.
The former Illinois will play for the Western Conference lineup at the Feb. 14 NBA All-Star game at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, according to the report. The Utah Jazz point guard would be the first NBA All-Star from Illinois since Eddie Johnson.

This honor is way too late in coming. You could debate whether or not he should’ve been an all-star in 06-07, but the last two seasons, he certainly was of that caliber.
