The Linking Illini is in pain, terrible terrible pain.

Its that time of year where most of the news is going to be bad. Bad as in injury news, this seasons injuries, last season's injuries even a crazy sinus infection is thrown in there. When you don't play games there isn't much good that can happen I suppose though.

  • Bob's Blitz: Miami Thomas hurt - IlliniHQ.com
Groan, Miami Thomas hurt again, severity not known. OG Jack Cornell injured, severity not known, OG John Asamoah sick with some sort of crazy Rantoul virus. Blah Blah unfortunate circumstances. Also of note, tonight is the Big Ten Networks feature on the Illini training camp, watch it tonight at 9 central
  • Hardeman relies on discipline in return from neck injury - Freeport, IL - The Journal-Standard
A good little write up on Donsay making his way back from last years neck injury. Remember when Beanie Wells jumped over Donsay for his Sportscenter highlight reel showboating? Well had Donsay delivered the type of hit he is known for, who knows how much worse his neck injury might have been. It really makes you think huh?
  • A LION EYE " Rantoul Scrimmage - The Good, The Bad, And The Promising
I feel the need to show a little love for another Illini blog A Lion Eye (get it) if there is one thing this guy is, it is knowledgeable, and perhaps a close second it is opinionated. Good stuff, this post featuring a first hand account of the Scrimmage on Saturday. Read it and enjoy.
  • ESPN Game Day coming to Champaign - IlliniHQ.com
Its a great OMG to all of the area's college basketball fans, myself included. Its not quite the same as having football gameday but color me stoked about this. Its all a lead up for one of the best games on the Big Ten calender, MSU at Illinois on February 6th. Hmm I am going to have to work on getting me some tickets for this....

Awwww man . . .

that sucks about Orlando Miami Thomas. Hopefully it’s not serious.

I seem to remember Jack Cornell being a hyped-up OL recruit. What in Christ HAPPENED to this kid?! He needs to turn it around!

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
