STLToday.com (the web portion of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) is currently running a poll, asking how YOU think the Arch Rivalry Game is going to end up.

I have a feeling that someone is stuffing the ballot box, and I certainly have a feeling it may be Mizzou fans, trying to hype up their own side by giving them no chance.

Give it a look, take your vote and check out the results. Very curious indeed.

heres my thoughts on that.

I’d just like to say that I frequent the Mizzou SB Nation Blog RockMNation. And I personally find it hard to believe that Mizzou fans would intentionally stuff the balott box in the other direction. It just seems ridiculous to me. I personally would like to believe that our team doesn’t need this to be hyped up for the first game of the season. and I also don’t think our team really cares about the results of some web poll.

I considered that too.

But living in the StL area as an Illini fan and seeing how they slant much more toward the Tigers than the Illini in their sports coverage, it’s simply a hypothesis I had, and it just looks odd. It’d be hard to admit otherwise.

With that said, I honestly have NO clue why there’s that much pop for Illinois for that one poll, though. Then again, I haven’t really checked around, either . . . what an investigative journalist I would be! HAH!

yes that's true that it does seem very odd.

especially given the fact that the Illini fans

are routinely out matched in terms of fans at the actual arch rivalry game.

. . . and they seem to have caught on.

So check it out, a new poll.

The one above still works. So now there’s at least two Mizzou-Illinois “Who Ya Got” polls floating about the Complicated Interwebs of STLToday.com . . . . Them bastards ain’t foolin’ ME, though!

For the record, I’d say one out of every three journalists at that paper are either Mizzou grads or Mizzou backers. Probably more than that. And none of us are shocked with that, right?

Yes Mizzou does have one of the best J-Schools in the country.

I could certainely believe the above statement. Same way for the KC Star
