Hail to the Orange, live from Big Ten Media Days.

Trust me, no one is more surprised than me. Next Monday and Tuesday yours truly will be blogging all day from the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, home of the Big Ten Media Days. I can't think of anyone less likely to have been given press credentials to anywhere, let alone such a large event as this.

This is my first experience as an actual member of the media per se, at least outside typing nonsense from my dorm room/bar/parents apartment. At the very least, I am going to try not to embarrass myself. I am going to get the chance to actually have my questions answered from the people who actually play or coach the game. (Also a free lunch will be provided.) This is where the vast, loyal, respectable readership will come in handy. If you have any questions you want answered from Zook, Juice, Benn, Pilcher, or even Joe Paterno, this is your chance to maybe actually have them answered. Leave a question here and maybe I can ask them. I am  the lowest of the low on the totem pole at this thing, but I'll see what I can do

Anyway, I guess I am going to have to work on being slightly more professional now.

Shirt, tie, fedora, press pass . . .

and a lack of sense of humor.

Get all that and you’ll fit right in.

Congrats dude, and have a blast!

And to answer your request . . .

My question to Ron Guenther (if you can find him) would be . . . why rain so much intensity and excellence on us with the hiring of Ron Zook in 2006? Did we really deserve so much awesome with one hiring?

(That may have been a joke.)
