Hail to the Orange Classic.
Its summer time and its the weekend, nothing is usually going on here in the blogosphere. I figure a lazy summer Saturday is as good as any to drag out some of the greatest hits from my blogging past. Hard as it may be to believe, I didn't always have this shiny nice blog here, I used to be a small time blogger with big dreams and a free hosted blog at blogspot. Yes I was once just another internet blogger churning out more white noise about sports. The main difference now is of course my incredible professionalism and attention to detail. Also they pay me to churn out noise now.
Anyway, at that old blog, I had a few posts of which I was particularly proud but because of my low exposure, not many people ever got to see them. So I figured I would pull them out of the old site to expose them to an all new audience. (Also I am lazy and haven't finished my next post yet.) So here with out further ado, is HTTO Classic.

Zook rolls out secret weapon for RB

Coach Ron Zook, long known for his recruiting prowess, is now breaking new ground in the field. Using the university's advanced microbiology and genomic laboratories Zook reanimated the remains of the great Red Grange, who is still regarded as one of the greatest college football player in history.
"We had a need at running back this year with Rashard leaving, and we weren't getting all we needed from his replacements, so I had to go out and hit the recruiting trail again." said Zook.
NCAA rules are unclear how many years of eligibility can be
awarded to Grange, who graduated in 1925 and passed away in 1991, but had only played 3 seasons in his initial college career.
"We think the circumstances will allow Grange a waiver due to medical hardship," Says Illinois AD Ron Guenther, "he has been dead for 17 years you know."
Zook has never been averse to pushing the laws of recruiting, and apparently nature to their limits. Although this latest move seems to put texting and shower phones in a much less serious light.
Coach Locksley, the offensive coordinator is excited by the addition, "have you read about that game in '24 against Michigan? He scored 4 touchdowns in the first 12 minutes! I realized he has aged some since then, but if we can get half of that production from him this season, we could easily be BCS bound once again."
When asked his opinion about returning to his alma mater for one last season of grid iron glory, Grange, always a man of few words, responded simply, "BRAAAAAAAAAIIIINNNNNSSSSS!!!!!"

Oh. My. Sweet. Jesus.
That’s just . . . brilliant stuff. The picture . . . and that last line . . . and the rest of it . . . hilarious!
Can’t wait for the next one.
And rec’d, even though obviously rec’s aren’t applicable to stories already on the main blog.
