although now that I am an alumnus, maybe I should start caring about how my loads and loads of donated alumni dollars are being spent.

I agree.

His track record has been pretty impressive, and I’m really excited to see what he can do with the new recruits next year. However, if he gets the raise/extension, the pressure is on to go deep in the NCAA’s. No more getting bounced out of the first round by Western Kentucky.
