Penn State recap, how does this keep happening?

Penn State has moved up the ladder of disliked Big Ten Basketball teams. For the second straight game against these guys, I have no idea why we lost. I don't get it. We were more or less in control of the game the whole time, but in the closing minutes it slipped away. Whats worse we had opportunities as the minutes were waning to close them out but we couldn't. Talor Battle got through the defense and made a shot at, more or less, the buzzer. Now I know how Northwestern must feel.

Frankly that right there is why we have lost to Penn State this year, Talor Battle. He is really really good, and its pretty upsetting that he is only a sophomore. It would be really awesome if this guy doesnt stay until his senior year.

Other than that, I am at somewhat of a loss. Yes we were out rebounded, but Davis and Tisdale still played really well Thursday. Especially Tisdale who had his second straight very good game down low, unfortunately both in losses.

It kills me that we lost the game because of Davis missing his last free throw, but as often as he has been the key to victory, one loss wont make me hate him. It sucks but it happens.

Sometimes I guess thats just how a game goes, we have had problems all year long with closing other teams out. Scoring droughts down the stretch tend to have that effect. This game was all too similar to Clemson and the MSU games, when we need them most we can't buy a basket.

Next up is the Big Ten Tournament, one last shot to get ourselves a good seed come the Big Dance. We usually own this tournament, and have more BTT wins than any other program, but we are going to have to shore up some of our scoring problems to be successful here on out.
