No Legion in the starting 5, and it includes 2 freshman. I am skeptical about Freshman starting on a Bruce Weber coached team.

Bruce is no JoePa

but I am aware of his skepticism over freshmen. The question is: is this the beginning of the year starting 5 or end of the year? If it’s an end of season starting 5, I can see it. I think either Legion or JJ definitely starts at the beginning (maybe both) but if these guards are as good as everybody thinks they are, Bruce will have to do the right thing.

Dmac wasn’t starting when he got here, but he sure earned his starting spot end of his freshmen year and rewarded us by almost carrying us to the BT championship

Agreed.

I don’t think either freshie will start at the beginning of the season. Richardson could be starting by the beginning of the Big Ten season, especially if JJ doesn’t produce on the offensive end, or if Legion never figures out how to score in the Big Ten. In either case, I expect a very flexible lineup, where the “starting five” may not mean much with other players getting big minutes off the bench.
