Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

Really? Everyone of you? Does anyone actually believe the Illini stand a chance against the Hilltoppers? I can understand a few people, even a sizable portion of experts picking against the Illini, but it seems like the majority of expert picks are going against Illinois, which is surprising to say the least.

One of two things must've happened that I'm not aware of . . .

1) These prognosticators rolled back the clock to 2003, when Illinois was a 3 seed, WKU a 14 seed, and WKU damn near knocked the Illini out in the first round . . . summarily followed by Notre Dame mopping the floor with us in the second round. THIS TIME THEY’LL FINISH THE JOB!!!!! they say.

OR

2) Darrin Horn, Courtney Lee and Ty Rogers came back to the club inexplicably, just for the tournament. Well, I know this isn’t true . . . Rogers used all of his eligibility, I saw Lee in some highlights from the Magic-Cavs game last night, and Horn’s South Carolina team just got Curry’d in the NIT.

Yikes. Madness. Insanity.

YOUR 12-5 UPSET IS IN THE EAST REGION!!!!!

Did these so-called "experts"

not see the game against Michigan in the Big Ten tourney? That was without Chester too.

No, they didn't.

Because that game was on the Big Ten Network, and apparently no one gets that channel. At least that’s what they tell their superiors.
