The Illini lose to Georgia, make everyone uneasy again.
Neutral sites are apparently no good for this team, which would be okay I suppose were it not for the two remaining marquee non conference match ups left this season. In full disclosure I did not see the Georgia game Saturday night due to family obligations, however I think there is one stat that sums up decently why the Illini lost. Brandon Paul and D.J. Richardson went a combined 3 for 13 shooting, and had just ten total points between them. No matter the heroics of the other players, we may not be able to win games when those two are not on. That thought of course makes us all a bit queezy given the fact that they are freshmen, and except for maybe John Wall, freshmen can go quiet at times.
Mizzou is Wednesday, and I will be in attendance. expect a much better recap from me on that game.

It also didn't help . . .
that the ’Dogs were monsters on the glass . . . one of our weak areas. I bet they had 30 or so points in the paint, with about a third of those coming from put-backs. Ouch.
One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
Disheartening
Time to check Bruce Weber’s emotional state again.
