Bruce Weber emotional report card: I can't watch the NIU game.

Yeah I know its lame, but what can you do? Real life and all that stuff gets in the way of the much more fulfilling and enjoyable watching and blogging about sports. It really is too bad too, because I spent two years at Northern Illinois before transferring down here to Champaign. DeKalb, and its two great drunk eateries Burritoville and Lukulos. still hold a soft spot in my heart and a hard spot in my arteries. Thus, I would enjoy nothing more than seeing the Illini crush the Huskies at both ends of the court. So...

Me failing to shun real life in order to go to a basketball game makes Bruce Weber feel:

An emotion we interpret as: Sit your ass down on press row and cover that game like a man! And show me some hustle. Move! You gotta keep moving! MOTION MOTION MOTION!

Sorry Bruce, I don't mean to disappoint.

That doesn't mean you still shouldn't show up for the open thread though, you don't have any excuses.

You may have left those greasy spoons

But you did transfer to a location that hosts burritos as big as your head. That’s right—LaBamba’s—the king of the post drink eateries. God I miss that place. Its sad to think that I visit my mom in Normal just so I can eat there. Oh yeah, go Orange!

LaBamba's is a mistake

that my colon will never allow me to repeat. Now Big Mouth’s on the other hand, that is something that I can support

It's not surprising this didn't make ESPN's standard cable bundle . . .

for their 24 hours of nothing but CBK today.

I mean, NIU’s coach is Colorado’s discard, right?

If Paul can get 22 on SIUe, he can get at least 30 on these guys . . . amirite amirite amirite?

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
