Happy Veterans Day

Football_soldiers_medium

I know its football and basketball season, but take a step back and appreciate the day. I have several friends who are now or very recently were serving in Afganistan or Iraq. All so I can sit here and complain about a game.

For your consideration a great write up by Ivan Maisel on the Memorial Stadiums of College football, among which our very own MS is featured.

To all of the active and former members of our Armed Forces, thank you.

Being in Afghanistan as I read this, you’re welcome comes to mind, but its more than that. Its thank you for remembering there are still troops scattered all over the world so we can read this. You’re doing a great job with the site—don’t let anyone tell you different :)

That is by far the coolest comment I have ever gotten here

thank you for doing what you do, and putting your ass on the line everyday. I’m sorry around here we only seem to remember to say thanks once or twice a year
