Nnanna Egwu commits to Illinois

Nnanna_medium

6'9''  big man from Chicago, Nnanna Egwu has committed to the Illini, according to Illini HQ. Along with Tracy Abrams, the 2011 class is shaping up nicely, and still has room to grow (Chasson Randle perhaps?) Scout has him listed as a  3 Star, but I have heard we can expect that to rise after this coming season. We more or less can pick who we take commitments from at this point, so Bruce and Jerrance must see some upside in him.

Please Welcome new 2011 basketball recruit Nnanna Egwu

Never heard of him.

There’s not even anything on his scouts.com profile.

has been talking this kid up for a few months now. Apparently the Illini were in on him really early and thats what made the difference

I, too, had never heard of him.

But he’s a big body. And Duck . . . I’d say he looks like a giant, pissed-off Urkel.

We’ll see what he can do in a couple years.

One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
