The Bruce Weber Emotional Report Card
Oh basketball season, you cant come fast enough.
You know the University of Illinois has always been on the forefront of progressive education, and has never been afraid to try new ways to educate and encourage its students. It is in that spirit that I would like to introduce a new way to grade out the way the basketball team performs from game to game. It is the Bruce Weber Emotional report card
The concept is fairly simple we take some aspect of the game and give it a grade and a corresponding Bruce Weber emotion.
For instance, landing a commitment from Mr Illinois Brandon Paul makes Bruce Weber feel:
An emotion we can only interpret as pleased and celebratory.
The last second basket made by Talor Battle to beat the Illini last season makes Bruce Weber feel:
An emotion we can only interpret as excruciating disappointment.
See? Its just that easy. I believe that this will perhaps better explain the performance of the Illini better than arbitrary numerical or alphabetical grading alone.

It's times like these . . .
where I wish I could find the photoshop/Microsoft Paint picture with Bruce Weber talking at a press conference, with the talk bubble saying “I OWN MIZZOU”. That’s gotta factor in here somewhere, right?
One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
